Two Late 16th or Early 17th Century Bronze Candlesticks
On the left, a late 16th century bronze candlestick, the simple socket, with circular piercing, above a short but quite complicated baluster shaft, which sits into the upward-curving drip pan. The bell-shaped base has ring-turned incised decoration.

On the right, an early 17th century bronze candlestick, having a very slight flared socket, with circular piercing. Bearing an engraved owner’s initial “E”, above a simple “tear drop” shaped baluster shaft. Typical bell-shaped foot, with pronounced ring-turn decoration.
